Dan Klein is a two-time Emmy Award-winning director, writer and producer.

Dan won his first Emmy as the producer of an investigative segment for ESPN’s “Outside the Lines.” From 1999 to 2003, Dan directed and produced four films for HBO Sports’ award-winning “Sports of the 20th Century,” including the Emmy nominated documentary, “A City on Fire: The Story of the ‘68 Tigers.”

Dan won his second Emmy Award (Best Historical/Cultural Program) for directing, producing and writing the documentary, “Miracle in New York,” and a CINE Golden Eagle for "Untold," a six part MTV Networks' series.  He earned multiple Emmy nominations for “Ring Life,” and “Street Games,” which were developed for HBO Sports and SNY respectively. He also produced “The Last Gold,” a documentary about the 1972 U.S. Olympic Women’s Swim Team, which aired on NBC after premiering at the LA Film Festival.

Advertising highlights include campaigns for Porsche, Baby Dove, Ace Hardware, the League of Women Voters, and the USGA; spots for clients like Saatchi, BBDO, Havas, Razorfish, and General Mills; a film about veterans narrated by Tom Hanks and broadcast nationally from the 2012 Democratic National Convention; and 40 spots in 19 cities and 9 states for Bloomberg 2020. 

Dan is currently directing and executive producing, Four Perfect Corners, a feature documentary about the most expensive sports collectible ever sold at auction.
